Woo Corner for June

Esteemed friends, humans, fellow artists-

It's my 44th birthday! And the world in South Carolina is blooming green. I am spending my birthday weekend doing exactly what I want, which has ended up being this, followed by naps:

If you're new here (hi!!! welcome!) I use these monthly broadcasts to sum up all the corners of the internet I whisper to, as well as to deliver Woo Corner. If you're just here for the functional woo, you'll find it at the bottom of this email. But I hope you'll grab a beverage and stay a while. You're very welcome here.

From the Muse:

The Muse was generous with me, and I'm creating something truly delicious.

7 weeks. 7 deadly sins. Because the real hell is being in a cage that you can't see.

We're flipping patriarchal purity culture on its ass and reclaiming our right to be whole ass humans. This playful, witchy online container is for both the woo-inclined and the woo-curious. Click the button below to be instantly added to the list. (This is automatic, so only click the button if you're like "oooooh yes please"). Please share with anyone you know who wants to dig the patriarchal worm out of their brain in a way that is actually FUN.

Coming August 2026.

From the Podlycast:

Audacity Works is a podcast inspired by and dedicated to the working artist, the creative entrepreneur, and generally- doing the damn thing. Episode air every Wednesday at 6am EST. May's aural offings included:

Audacity Works is powered by Patreon- an extra velvet THANK YOU to each and every one of my 150 supportive patrons great and small- this (and frankly myself, in my current incarnation) could not exist without you. Thank you.

From the Patreon:

May brought forth two rather unrelated tables for feasting on the patreon. These posts ARE behind a paywall- but it's not very high. If you like my words and deeds you can support me for as little as $10 a year- every little bit helps. If you wanna try before you buy there's a whole host of free and public posts for free members.

On Grief, and Knowing What You Want

Exactly what it sounds like, with a nice little twist at the end.

JNDW Premiere WIP danse, dahling

Earlier this spring I joined a fledgling dance company, Jessie Natusch Dance Works. This was our first WIP showing at the North Charleston Arts Festival on May 3, sharing three pieces as part of a WIP full length show to debut in the fall of this year.

Featuring my hair as an unpaid actor hahaha. (I got paid, my hair didn't).

and without further ado:

Woo Corner for June

For flamin June, I decided on a three card pull from two different decks:

Q1: What needs to be healed?

A1: The Lovers. You can take this one of two ways- and you probably knew which one as soon as you saw the name of the card.

Option A- a primary relationship could benefit from your focus and attention.

Option B- the cards are warning you about self-abandonment.

If Option A- go forth and give your BAE some TLC. If Option B- ask yourself the question: how am I complicit in my own erasure from my life? Where do I default to pleasing others when I myself am not pleased? Those two questions will give you more information on what needs to be healed.

Q2: How do we do that?

A2: Art. Don't you love it when the cards troll us? I do. There's no subtley here, it really is what it sounds like. Make art. Create. Generate. Say what you want to say. I was literally just talking with my good friend Ess about this yesterday. He sent me this article- here is the quote I think sums it up beautifully:

Q3: What energy will serve us best?

Q3: Zebra.

You know that saying that doctors use? "When you hear hooves, think horses, not zebras."? Well this month, think zebras. BE zebras. This is your sign to lean way in to your most audacious, unabashed weirdness. Turn the volume of your unique and truest self up to 11. That is the medicine the world needs, and that is the medicine that you need.

I am so excited to take this advice! I don't see myself as a repressed individual but getting this direct order makes me wonder: what remains unexpressed in me? What corner of myself have I kept hidden that wants to be shared?

If you have answers from yourself, I would love to hear them. You can hit reply and tell me if you like- I read every response. (note: I don't always respond because of volume/capacity, but I often can). It's not the response that's the point, it's sharing something knowing that it will be received. This is a medicine for you!

Happy June, you wonderful beautiful weirdos. Thank you for being here.

Don't go back to sleep.
